Locked Out?

When you lock your keys in your car, you have several choices as how to get back in. You or a "friend" could try to get in.  You could call the Police (most if not all agencies no longer will attempt automotive unlocking).  You could call a tow truck company.  Or worse, you could call someone out of the "Yellow Pages" that claims to be a "lockout specialist". This unlicensed person won't be bonded or insured and is acting in violation of the law. Most of these people are not trained to open cars. If one of these people damages your car, in most instances there is no recourse. A $40 to $65 locksmith charge is preferable to $100 to $600 to repair your door or replace the glass. It is possible one of these people can actually open your car, but you don't know for sure. YOU SHOULD CALL A LICENSED LOCKSMITH.

The good news is unless you have done something to annoy the wrong person or you have something really worth stealing you are not going to have to worry about that kind of dedication to break in. So you don't have to turn your home into a reinforced bunker.
