Locked Out?

When you lock your keys in your car, you have several choices as how to get back in. You or a "friend" could try to get in.  You could call the Police (most if not all agencies no longer will attempt automotive unlocking).  You could call a tow truck company.  Or worse, you could call someone out of the "Yellow Pages" that claims to be a "lockout specialist". This unlicensed person won't be bonded or insured and is acting in violation of the law. Most of these people are not trained to open cars. If one of these people damages your car, in most instances there is no recourse. A $40 to $65 locksmith charge is preferable to $100 to $600 to repair your door or replace the glass. It is possible one of these people can actually open your car, but you don't know for sure. YOU SHOULD CALL A LICENSED LOCKSMITH.

The day of the coat hanger or "slim jim" is gone. A tow truck driver, the police department or a helpful friend may use these old methods to get the door open and be successful, beware. Many of today’s vehicles have a lot going on inside the door, vacuum lines and electrical wires for power locks, side impact air bags, plastic connectors for inside and out side lock linkage, tinted windows, etc. all of these items can be damaged easily.

Auto makers are making it harder and tougher for thieves to break into your car, which makes it harder for anyone to get into your car without a key. Locksmiths are trained professionals, we have special tools, designed to open cars without damaging the interior of the door, pulling or bending the linkage rods, breaking the glass or damaging the door electrical system, sometimes this could cause a fire and actually destroy your auto. When a locksmith goes to open your car, he knows what he is looking for and will not randomly poke around in your door cavity tearing away wires, breaking glass, or the lock itself. You will be on your way quickly. Play it safe, call a Licensed Locksmith

Lost your key?

We can "generate" a new key for you.  The year, make, model, and features on your vehicle will determine how the key is made and the costs associated with making you a new key.  We can generate and program the newer style transponder keys (chip keys) too.  A dealership will in some circumstances be able to provide you with a replacement key.  If you use a dealership, you will have to have your automobile towed to their location and pay dealership prices. We will come to you and get you back on your way.
