What is the Refuse To Be A Victim® program?

Refuse To Be A Victim® is a three-to-four hour seminar designed to offer men and women a variety of options from which they can choose to prepare their own crime prevention and personal safety strategy.  The seminar covers home, automobile, physical, Internet, fraud, travel, telephone and personal security in general.  The course provides a broad overview of actions men and women can take to minimize their chances of becoming victimized.

Participants in Refuse To Be A Victim® seminars learn unbiased information about carjacking prevention strategies; physical self-defense training options; the use of devices such as pepper spray, mace, stun guns and firearms; and the benefits and drawbacks of home   protection systems such as alarms and security lighting.

Do Refuse To Be A Victim® seminars include firearms training?

Firearms training is not part of the Refuse To Be A Victim® curriculum.  The National Rifle Association has other courses that focus on firearm training in the following disciplines; pistol, rifle, shotgun, home firearm safety, and personal protection.

Does Refuse To Be A Victim® encourage or discourage firearm ownership?

Refuse To Be A Victim® does not encourage or discourage firearms ownership -- but it does support an individual's constitutional right to choose whether to own a firearm.

Do Refuse To Be A Victim® seminars include physical self-defense training?

Refuse To Be A Victim® seminars are taught in classroom settings; physical self-defense training skills are not demonstrated or taught.  The Refuse To Be A Victim® curriculum addresses how to look for physical self-defense training courses that meet participants' needs.  Among the topics discussed are: how to find courses, how to determine if a course is the right fit and practicing skills learned in courses.
