The NC Concealed Carry Handgun Training Course is approved by the NC Dept. of Justice, and satisfies the requirements for training for a NC CCH Permit.  This course is intended for experienced shooters (with handgun proficiency), and covers range qualification, safety, ammunition, weapons presentation, and legal issues.

Information for Obtaining a NC Concealed Carry Permit (as per Haywood Co. S.O.):

• You must be a resident of Haywood County, NC for more than 30 consecutive days and have a valid North Carolina Driver's License or Identification Card.
• You must first complete a concealed carry course where the instructor will give you a certificate.  After you have your certificate, then call the Haywood County Sheriff's Office and make an appointment with Donna Henson (452-6669 ext. 2147 or 452-6768).
• It takes approx. 60 to 90 days for the state to process your application.  we will notify you by phone when the permit arrives.
• The concealed permit lasts for 5 years.  After the first five years you do not have to take the training again as long as it does not expire before renewing.
