The NC Concealed Carry Handgun Training Course is approved by the NC Dept. of Justice, and satisfies the requirements for training for a NC CCH Permit.  This course is intended for experienced shooters (with handgun proficiency), and covers range qualification, safety, ammunition, weapons presentation, and legal issues.

Information for Obtaining a NC Concealed Carry Permit (as per Haywood Co. S.O.):

You must be a resident of Haywood County, NC for more than 30 consecutive days and have a valid North Carolina Driver's License or Identification Card.

You must first complete a concealed carry course where the instructor will give you a certificate.  After you have your certificate, then call the Haywood County Sheriff's Office and make an appointment.

It takes approx. 60 to 90 days for the state to process your application.

The concealed permit lasts for 5 years.  After the first five years you do not have to take the training again as long as it does not expire before renewing.
